Eating Your Way to an Acne Outbreak

Many medical professionals still insist that there is no link between diet and acne, but I just can’t buy that point of view. Acne breakouts are the result of your body being overloaded with hormones or toxic chemicals and it’s attempt to get rid of this overload by sending the material out through your skin in sebum oil. Believing that adding more of this stuff that is present in your food won’t matter is absurd.

Most of us first experience acne during our teenage years. During this time, your hormone production runs wild and your body reacts by sending the excess out through your skin in sebum oil. The presence of too much sebum on your skin is the first requirement for pimple formation.

Would you agree that, since your hormone level is already too high, do you think it’s smart to add even more? Well, consuming any kind of dairy product does just that. A simple glass of milk will dump 59 different hormones into your system. Eliminating dairy products is a mainstay of any good acne diet.

If acne follows you into your adult years, your body’s low tolerance level most likely extends to the chemicals used in processed foods, as well. Your body’s reaction to these toxins is much the same as it was for hormones. And, it reacts the same way, sending them out in sebum oil that starts your acne outbreaks.

An effective anti acne diet will eliminate chemical laden processed foods from your diet in order to stop acne formation before it begins.

If these small examples are true (and, they are!), it’s foolish to continue to believe that your diet doesn’t affect acne formation. Never forget that the pimples that form on your skin are the result of a deeper problem. The only road to an acne-free life i to eliminate the internal problems and let the acne take care of itself.
